ASSIGNMENT POLICY
Being a student is a big job! As part of your job, you are expected to complete all assignments on time. As I mentioned before, learning is our goal, and in order for me to do my job, you need to do yours, as well. Ultimately, if you do have assignments that are not completed on time, it will not affect your objective mastery grade. However, it may impact the work ethics rating. Even if assignments are not completed on time, they are still expected to be completed. Completing your work helps me to meet your learning needs!
"What do I do if I need more time on an assignment?"
I would like to honor you when you need more time on an assignment so that you are able to do your personal best. However, it is your responsibility to make your requests known. So make sure you talk to me before the assignment is due.

"What do I do with a late assignment?"
If you are turning in a late assignment because you were absent be sure to write absent" at the top of your work (as well as the date you were out), then turn it into the bin. You may also be required to fill out a late-work submission form.
If you are turning in a late assignment because you needed more time, be sure to have me initial the top of the page to signify that you were allotted more time. Then turn it into the bin. You may also be required to fill out a late-work submission form. If you are turning in a late assignment because you were unable to get it in on time and did not request more time, then you need to write "late" at the top and turn it into the bin. You may also be required to fill out a late-work submission form. |
